George has 30 years of experience working in the Greek and International legal and shipping market, both within well-known Greek law firms as well as in highly reputable Greek shipowners as an in-house lawyer, and specializes in shipping law, including financings, distressed debt and restructuring arrangements and purchase/sale of ships and yachts, corporate and general commercial law including joint ventures, shareholders’ agreements, holding structures as well as any company’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
George also handles matters relating to Greek law real estate including, amongst others, purchase/sale of properties, and also handles succession planning, testaments, inheritance and other family-related legal matters.
Professional Qualifications: George is a fully qualified Greek lawyer (Dikigoros) registered at the Piraeus Bar Association since 1993 and appointed as a Lawyer at the Greek Civil and Administrative Courts (Court of First Instance and Court of Appeal).
Education: George has a law degree from Athens University, Greece and an LLM in Shipping Law from University of Southampton, England.
